Our Philosophy
Conscious of the ever-increasing waits for psychological therapy, Doctor-Jo.com sets out to provide safe, supportive, evidence-based support that everyone can access. Whether thinking about yourself or your child, our membership aim to celebrate neurodivergent strengths whilst also dealing with whatever your child's kryptonite may be: meltdowns, anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulties separating, social anxiety, OCD, burnout, depression, demand avoidance, self-harm. Doctor Jo has worked with, and helped families through, all of the above and more.
Our Expertise
Our founder, Dr Jo Mathews, is a clinical psychologist who has worked for over ten years in various roles associated with neurodivergent people. Prior to moving to private practice, Jo was a clinical lead for Autism services in an NHS trust. Trained in both assessment of autism spectrum conditions and ADHD, Jo enjoys both offering diagnostic and therapeutic support. She works with trusted partners including Everlief Child Psychology and Autism Services Group to provide the highest standard of diagnostic and clinical intervention.
However, Dr Jo also wanted to provide a simple, affordable and effective way of sharing psychological support to everyone.
Our membership service has:

Our Services
Workshops included in our membership aim to share key information that is usually only accessible from one-to-one sessions with a psychologist. Watch wherever you are, on your own terms. Rewatch, skip ahead and invite family members or your child to watch too.
Our aim is to provide a service accessible to all, and at least 10% of our profits will always go to charities supporting neurodivergent people.
One-to-one clinical psychology, diagnostic assessments, cognitive assessment and consultancy services are also available.

Compassionate, Helpful Family Support
- Steph specialises in working with families with children under 12
- This means she works with families through nursery, primary school, and helping to plan successful transition to secondary school
- She does lots of work with neurodivergent children who are experiencing high levels of anxiety or difficulties regulating emotions
- She is trained in diagnostics for Autism and ADHD, so she also helps children understand neurodivergence following assessment
- Whilst sometimes working from the Doctor Jo clinic, she will also visit your home, or visit your child in school dependent on needs
- £95 per clinical session which includes an hour of support and write up summary
